Volunteer at PCPS

There are many ways families can be involved in our Pilgrim Community Preschool! In addition to being welcome to volunteer in your child's room or for special community events, families contribute to our community through leadership opportunities. Please review each area, and select what role you would be interested in this year by August 31st. Emily will reach out in September with more information. 

Room Parents & Room Parent Coordinator: Help create family community connections in your classroom by coordinating a start of year family park playdate. Support your child's teachers by coordinating teacher appreciation gifts, and classroom participation as needed. Support our entire program by helping coordinate silent auction basket for 60th celebration, solicit pizza donations from local parlors for the pizza party in April.  One family member will be the Room Parent Coordinator, the main contact for families in your classroom.

PCPS School Board: Family board members ensure our administration and vision align with our family's needs by sharing their experiences, feedback and ideas with the executive board during monthly virtual board meetings.

PCPS School Board Treasurer: Support our school's fiscal health by working with Director Emily and our bookkeeper to review budget and expenditures for monthly school board meetings.

Fall Fest & Trunk or Treat October 25: Coordinate with PCPS Staff and PCC to plan activities & volunteers for the event. Planning takes place is September-October.

Artisan Market & Cookie Walk December 5: Coordinate with PCPS Staff to plan activities & volunteers for event. Planning takes place October-November.

60th Celebration February 11: Coordinate with PCPS Board Members, Staff and Room Parents to solicit donations Silent Auction Baskets, activities & volunteers for event. Planning takes place September-February.

PCPS Clothing Sale March 20: Coordinate with PCPS Staff to plan, collect and sort donations for sale. Planning takes place January-March.
