Brandon Pittman

I am an Oak Park Resident of over 31 years, born and raised. I attended District 97 and District 200 schools: Longfellow, Percy Julian, and OPRF - becoming an OPRF Alumni in 2012. I continued my education at Roosevelt University and graduated in 2017.

After getting my Bachelors Degree in Educational Studies - focused on Youth Development and Education, and minoring in Psychology - I began working with young children at the Park District of Oak Park in various locations and positions for about 8 years. In 2017, I worked with school aged children (K-5) for 2 years as a Rec Leader, Supervisor, and Indoor Playground Attendant at Stevenson Center. Additionally, I worked as a substitute teacher for PDOP’s various preschool programs and summer camp counselor. In 2020, I transitioned into an Assistant Teaching role in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom, then transitioned to Lead Teaching in the 2-3 year-old classroom in 2022. I enjoy being able to introduce young children to their first school experience and getting to foster a fun, safe environment for their learning and development journey.

I am excited to begin working as a new Co Teacher at Pilgrim Community Preschool.

When I am not teaching, I love to spend time on my Playstation playing video games, reading novels, listening to music, watching movies, and attending Comic Conventions to Cosplay.
